To Our Friends and Neighbors,
There is an undeniable and keen awareness that times are difficult for many folks who, for a variety of reasons, find themselves and their loved ones in need of services that tend to their physical infirmities and clearly do not have the monetary means to acquire.
The Auburn Seventh Day Adventist Church Community Services Department has been blessed with the gift of two triple wide commercial modular buildings from LifeHouse Church in Rocklin. For over 8 years LifeHouse had been trying to find a way to put these structures to use for God's work and were unable due to environmental issues. We found each other and over the last many months, with the help of like-minded people, these structures have been moved, sited and are being retrofitted to house what will be called the Auburn Renewal Center (ARC) a fee-free center for wellness. The interior spaces of these buildings are very close to being completely updated and modified to accommodate medical, dental, eye care, chiropractic and psychiatric services. The precise extent of services to be provided has yet to be determined.
As these structures near readiness we find it only natural to begin looking at what needs to be done next. It is clearly realized that what is needed is strong faith based and community minded partners if the ARC is to enjoy a long, prosperous life. The needs are simple. The most important of which is the time and expertise of those people in our communities that have been blessed with a gift that lends itself to this ministry. The need for physicians, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, mental health specialists, optometrists, office aides and other specialty service staff is obvious. What may be less apparent are the resources needed to help finish up the physical plant and help with the day in and day out operational costs as we move forward. There are still resources needed to complete items such as flooring, handicap ramps, walkways, paved parking areas and landscaping as well as a call for the skilled hands to accomplish each.
If you, your church, your business, your friends or your neighbors have hearts that are moved towards becoming involved in this community venture please get in touch with us. God's hand has been over this project from the start. Our "common enemy" has also been working hard to see that this project does not come to light.
We have all been charged with a mission of love for one another and to minister to the whole person, both body and spirit. Please contact us at the numbers below or use the ARC Volunteer General Information Form to let us know how you would like to help.
